"What's the Green Party's BIG Idea?" launched as election campaign begins

As expected, today Gordon Brown announced the general election will be on 6th May. To challenge the old-fashioned thinking of the other parties, we are distributing thousands of leaflets titled: "What's the Green Party's BIG idea?"   They describe how the party's economic, social and environmental policies all work together.  Click here to read the leaflet on our website.

Nationally, the Green Party is looking to gain its first MPs with both Caroline Lucas (http://www.carolinelucas.com) and Adrian Ramsey (http://www.adrianramsay.org.uk) ahead in the polls in their constituencies.

Here in South Warwickshire, Karen Varga is the candidate in Stratford, Ian Davison in Warwick and Leamington, and James Harrison is contesting the newly created Kenilworth and Southam seat.

Ian Davison said, "I'm delighted to be representing the Green Party again and I'm confident more people than ever will vote Green. This is because so many tell me they are disillusioned with the other parties, that their conduct in parliament is poor and they are not tackling the real issues."
